Nice overall effect. I would regard the bottom, right-centre hole as a secondary element and somewhat distracting because it draws so much attention to itself. Not sure how you achieved this look, but I think to keep the attention on the lone tree and background and better balance, perhaps a crop half way up to the said hole would do it. This allows the left bough to be seen at the edge and retains the integrity and look of the image. What do you think?

Thanks JMR!
Well actually it didn't distract me until you said it but you are right - it would help to balance the photo. Thanks for the suggestion!

Joni, I love this one. The effect is very good, the forest looks a little scary to me..

After I learned from JMR how to make blurred forests (8)),
it's totally obscure to me how you did this. Want to share your secret?

Cleverly done Joni.
A fine result and JMR's on the money for suggestions.
Perhaps also simplifying the composition even further with the removal of the branches peering through the left hand side may improve the image.
Well done.

Actually the secret is PP in Photoshop. Background forest is blurred with Motion Blur. You can also take two exposures (one with a bit longer shutter speed and moving the camera). Stack them in Photoshop and then just erase the blur off from the foreground and tree.

Usually i don't remove or add anything in my photos but i guess i could make a exception with this one.
