Nice one Lowell. I've got a b/w of one when I threw some watermelon rinds outside into a ditch by my house. So, throw them some watermelon and they'll be more frequently in your yard.

Interesting creature hiding in the shrubbery.
Tough one to capture with his fair coat.
Good one Lowell.

good call Jim

we had a baby in the yard last fall. they are becoming more common in toronto.

Shot is actually quite easy with the lens I used. The Takumar 200 F3.5 has a 350 degree focus rotation. Precision is what makes this lens so good.

Suprisingly, in PP I notise some longitudinal CA (green behind focus purple in front of focus) but no real lateral CA.

Today is the first chance I have really had to try it out. It represents the long end of a work in process, an M42 kit.

I have a split image in my K10 and with MF it is easy to focus on what you want through the branches

Even thought they look like a rat, they are actually a marsupial, (like a kangaroo) no relation to a rat. Even at that, they aren't really an attractive little critter, I'll have to say.

Tom, thanks

I know it's not your SMC 200F2.5, but although I have only spent a day or so with this lens, I have to admire the quality and ease of use.

If he is back tomorrow, I will take some shots with mu vivitar series 1 70-200F3.5 to compare.
