Another weekend, more exploration. The day started out with fresh snow and bluebird skies up at the Mount Baker Ski area so I took advantage of that before more photographic pursuits. After leaving, I stopped off to quickly check out a location along Galena Creek before finishing my day along the Nooksack River...

From this day, I was most struck by the shadows and fresh snow from photo #1. I had to capture it before anything else. #2 was one of the few shots like this I could use. The sun's low in the sky during the winter and basically just above this ridgeline on days like this. Most of my shots kept getting lens flares.
