Nice shot! The gloomy winter day is emphasized with the snow and the bleak sky. Nice silhouettes of the trees against the sky and nice detail in the house and the cobblestones in the street. That looks to be a long climb up those stairs.

Thank you. It was my first real outing with DSLR, I was a K1000 guy for many years. I had a friend help me navigate the bells and whistles. That road is a helluva climb! I appreciate the reply, alot!

Interesting scene.
Very high contrast in this image, but the textures seem to be retained which is a bonus.
