My k10d still has not arrived.

I took my k100d and walked through my local park for shots. Quite a few discoveries.

this afternoon was sunny and all birds came out. I heard plenty of bird calls but nothing in sight. It took me ages to see this pretty native bird

Then on a birch, I discovered this rosella

A backlit abstract in my sight

The a walk through the local high school sports ground, I saw a couple of people playing soccer

On the way walking back home before sunset, I saw other people's gardens with flowers in full force

My room mate is then again the victim of my fa31 lens practice

End of my ordinary day. Thanks for looking

Nice series. Going out and shooting is onee sure fire way to keep from fretting about the long wait for your new toy.

I was expecting mine today, but it looks like Monday now.

Cheers

Hi Alan. k100d is a great cam. I did labour the camera in the park, majority of shots are crap. But i like the sounds of camera clicking away - almost addictive!

too many myena around. Wished there were less of them around

The backlit abstract of the bird on the limb is very appealing as is the crop.
I liked the negative treatment of the soccer/football players
Nice detail on the blue flowering bud

Sometimes I feel like a junkie, having to take those pictures. It feeds my desire to capture the moment. While out hiking my companions complained about some delays due to my catching a moment. I told them "A day without photography is like.....night". Can sleep at night, can photograph/practice/practice/practice in the day. One thing I love about digital, it really allows me to experiment with my photography and if it turns out less than perfect, I learned something.

The colours in these shots are really vibrant and eye-catching. That capture near the goal of the soccer player is great. Actually, I liked them all.

Thanks! The soccer game was hosted by a group of russian (I heard of them saying karasho - hence my presumption)

It was just a walk outside. I used fa31/1.8 and sigma 70-200/2.8 since Joele took F*300/4.5 to his rural trip with his gf

Thanks all for the feedback

Hi Roentarre!

Very beautiful series. I love the rosella and how you processed the negative photo. But my favorite of the group is the backlit bird. That one is a great capture!

Hi Tracy, I just had to spend my spare time in snapping photos otherwise waiting for k10d is just too painful.

I am really anticipating to see what you guys will do with k10d. More splendid photos of course.

Patiently waiting...

Thank you for your kind words
