Trainspotting

I was out for a drive today, and decided to pull over with the K-x for some spontaneous shooting en route. I tried my hand at some bolder (for me) post processing, as I felt it suitable for the subject matter. C&C welcome, as always. Thanks for looking.

Nice shots.. I like it I'd say that you could go a bit more bold on the PP (especially with clarity on the last few) if you wanted too.
cheers,

Thanks for the comments, all. I hope to go back to this location at some point to take some more careful and considered shots. There was certainly no shortage of interesting subject matter in the time I was there.

Regarding the PP, goddo, I certainly agree that it could be much bolder. Like photography, I'm new to post processing and am learning as I go. All of the images were edited as jpegs in GIMP. Learning RAW workflow and purchasing a program like Lightroom is certainly something I hope to do soon.

Thanks again. Here's one more....

I like your images Nate. I can certainly recommend LR for your PP. It's relatively user friendly and will probably be all you need. I've been using LR3 Beta for awhile now and it's a nice improvement over LR2. PSE7 would also be a good choice.

Beautiful imagery of this old caboose. Indeed #3 is a great perspective and rendition of the interesting little carriage.
