Morning Rise
Lens: 14mm Camera: K20 Photo Location: Maple Ridge ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: >6s Aperture: F16

Here are two from this morning. The first was shot about 15 minutes before the second and shot at a exposure of 30 seconds where the second was shot at 8 seconds. We don't get a lot of mornings like this and the rest of the day will be cloudy. There were shot at about 7:15 AM. Cheers JIM

Appreciate ytou kind words. I was asked about the 14mm I use on a number of my wide angle shots using my Pentax 12-14. When I add a ND filter and go all the way out to 12mm I get some of the filter holder showing up on the outside of the4 frame. I even have one designed for wide angle lenses but still get it just slightly so I now set to 14mm. JIM

I also love the second shot. Really out of this world-like, with the strong but still believably natural colours.

For the wide-angle vignetting: I use a standard Cokin P holder, from which I simply cut off two of the three slits. The remaining one slit is enough for me (never combine filters) and it doesn't vignette even at 10mm with my Sigma 10-20. The "surgery" took about ten minutes (including finishing of the cut with sandpaper).

More stunners from you Jim.
Both are beautiful and set different moods in their images.
Thanks again for sharing.

Thanks Ben. I rarely combo the ND's. Makes sense on the cutting though I ordered the wider Z Cokin holder so that would not be a issue. Thanks for checking in. JIM
