Both were shot at the same settings. ISO 100 / 12mm / using my Pentax 12-24 at F11 1/3 second shutter speed. Also had a ND 8 filter on. PP was started in Lightroom 3 [beta version] where I added fill light to bring up the foreground and then moved over to Elements 6 to complete process. First adjusted levels to bring up some highlights added a small amount of contrast and brightness. This again lightened the foreground and added a little more color to the water. Added a small amount of sharpness to both. Still working on the second one. Not sure if this helped. Cheers JIM

I hate to disagree Jim, but the top portion of both images look unnatural relative to the bottom. And I think I know the problem. I also have a Cokin filter and there is definite colour shift on skies, readily seen when one compares the top portion to the bottom. Having said all that, the compositions are wonderful. You may have to buy a better split neutral filter, it looks worth it to me.

Be surprised if you didn't JMR. This was a tough exposure trying to keep the foreground withg ebough light without blowing the sky out. I may have lightened the foreground up too much during the processing which caused the effect. As far asd changing ND's brands I think I just need to learn a little more on the PP side controling the balance of the image throughout. Appreciate you looking checking in as always. As I am new to all this it may take a few more years to figure it all out though I do like the journey. JIM
