Looks like you had some beautiful soft diffuse light. I see the painter lit with a soft beautiful glow, my favourite kind of light! Just try to be mindful of all the elements in the photo. The first would be outstanding if all the geese on the right side were included and the painter was slightly more to the left . But good efforts, and beleive me I have my share cut off or unwanted elements!

Thanks for the tips. Maybe I'll get lucky and he'll be painting next weekend. You're right, it was a clear day, around 4:30 pm; an hour before sunset

Nice pictures you have there mate! My fav is the 1st picture. After seeing your pictures, think I should bring my DA70mm for a walk in the park soon too..

Hey, that's Lake Johnson! I live close by, used to go running on that trail all the time. Still do occasionally, very pleasant trail around the lake. I'd had a few photos walks there myself, there are always some geese and ducks available

. Although summer/spring is a bit more colorful.

Yep. Lake Johnson. I went to Athens Drive HS for 4 years, and never noticed how nice that lake was til I moved away to Durham.

Nice video. I'm surprised those ducks and geese didn't walk up to you and try and eat your gear
