The first weekend in June was a Nature Photography event at Grandfather Mtn, NC. I had the pleasure of attending and had a great time.

The Eagle is a captive at the Visitors Center/Museum on GFM.
I honestly do not remember the flower variety. Some type of wild azalea I believe.
The flowers were at their peak when we were up there and the photo opportunities were unbeatable!! The weather was a little wet at times and no times of full sun, but I had a great time anyway. Definately will return next year!
