A day out w/ the K10
Posted By: -=JoN=-, 11-24-2006, 07:49 PM

Spent a day out shooting w/ the k10. Went and visited the central park zoo.
the SR worked great in the rainforest area, tho the animals wouldnt quit moving, so even w/ SR, there was still motion blur on their end.

anyway, here are some of the shots I took today..(total of about 250)
she handled well....tho i cannot wait for the grip, as my big hands did get somewhat tired near the end of the day.

most of these shots I used a Sigma 70-210mm lens and the Kit Lens (18-55 DA)

No PP work aside from cropping and resizing

they look great, jon!
the colors are great and the pics are sharp.... I am amazed they came from the kit lens. I don't know much about the sigma lens you are using, but seems good.

the dynamic range is great too!

looking forward to the other pics,

randy

Hi Jon!

A day at the zoo is always a good camera workout! These are great. I like the bird photos, particularly the wood duck, the best.

Glad you're out enjoying the new camera. I hope to be doing the same tomorrow. Had to work today.

Really nice Jon,
Have you noticed that these shots have that "3D" quality that you usually get with a limited lens. ISO800 too. If this a trait of the K10, I'm REALLY gonna love this camera.

Good stuff!

I like the park bench and bird shots the best.

I don't know what kind of duck that is but it's not a wood duck, not the North American version anyways.

Keep them coming!

Duck???
Anyway I really like the composition on the park benches. Almost see the ghost images of the players in summer.

My video card must be on the fritz.
The duck picture finally came up.
It is a Mandarine duck.
