Great images Jan. Especially like the poses/composition of the first and last but they are all great. Which lens did you use?

all great shots. WHat lens are you using?

I take it the theme is birds on a cold surface?

here is one I posted today, in the greater than 300mm thread.

Nothing like standing on ice with a little water flowing over the top.

Trust me...I didn't get too far in that ice storm It's just my good fortune to be surrounded by woods on all three sides

Thanks, 300mm is about a limit for birds. I started shooting digital using mostly the 70-200F2.8 and a 1.4x TC. I added the 2x later wanting more reach. I also started using flash a lot to freeze the image and overcome lack of light for hand holding.

you have more snow than I do in toronto. We had a "storm" yesterday, all 1 inch of it. First snow since before christmas, here in the great white north

Good shots of the birds. I always like to watch and photograph them.
I hope you all are feeding our "Little Friends". This time of year there is not a lot of insects for them. Without our little friends the insects would overwhelm us.
