The best time in early in the mornign or late in the day. The wind always dies done then, at least around here. Wind is diffcult any time except on the ocean shore where you want wind for the waves. JIM

You can see as the light grows brighter, as in the last shot, it is difficult to retain the lightness and glow that shows the beauty of the green boughs and moss. Amazing shots, especially the first two. Remember to keep looking and you will see the forest from the trees.

Beautiful and tranquil. Can you give me the coordinates, so I can set up a hammock there?

reminds me of 'the day of the triffids'... but MUCH larger... eerie series... super!

are you using an ND filter to pull more detail out? i'd like to hear how you're pulling the green out of the trees, as its pretty darn easy to get black silhouettes when shooting in our nice dark forests!

Singh-Ray Filters: LB Color Intensifier

No, I have attached a link to the Singh filter I used for this shot. [LB Color Intensifier] this is about a 250 dollar filter though. The is a little natural light filtering in too. JIM

Thanks for that info, seems worth it, from those photos, Trying to shoot Coastal rainforest is WAY harder than MR Jim makes it look!!!
