Wow, great photo's.....Such a wonderful park as well. I was there in 07 and was just stunned by the beauty of it.

I was fortunate enough to go to school at the University of Tennessee and see the mountains on many clear days. I would love to go up there and sit on a rock in one of the streams and just relax...So peaceful.

The pictures weren't terribly recent; it has snowed recently, but it is beautiful no matter the weather. I went up there one time when it was pretty foggy in the morning, even that was breathtaking.

Lush, green and beautiful - thanks for posting these. The Smokies are one of my favorite destinations - and the location in your photos brings back lots of memories.

Great shots. We're heading there the first week of April. Doing mostly the NC side, as several scenic roads on the TN side will be closed for repaving.

I can say the same thing myself, having graduated from UT in 1969. When I was there I had a Pentax Spotmatic (which I still own) and used to buy bulk film at a photo store on the other side of I-40/75 from the campus.

I don't get back to that part of the country too often anymore but your photos from the mountains bring back lots of memories.
