First visit to Sydney Opera House
Camera: K200d Photo Location: Sydney ISO: 200
Posted By: volley, 02-06-2010, 04:47 AM

I had to go to Sydney to work for a few days (nice to escape the German winter, by the way) with just a few hours to take some pictures. Yes, the opera house has been "shot to death" probably, but since this was my first time in Sydney at all I had to go there. Fairly conventional shots I have to admit, but I still hope you like them.
Thanks for looking

Thanks! I also like #3 best. I'm glad I recently bought a very smart foldable tripod for travelling.

Thank you very much. It is a fantastic building, no doubt. My plan was to spend a few days on vacation as well. But I had to go to China instead... Maybe next time!

Wonderful abstract-like photos. This is one of the things I'd love to see "in the flesh" - maybe I'll get down there someday.

Your photographs are far from conventional! Nice work! I particularly like no. 1 and no. 3 for the composition and texture!

Nice images Norbert, but #1 is my favourite.
Shots like these can work very well in B&W too.

Great job on these. I like the creativity in the whole set and the way it stands apart from the more cliche images I usually see of the Opera House.

I think you are right, although I don't have much experience with B&W conversions. I need to give it a try. Thanks!
