concentration

My wife was doing her homework again, and this time I decided to test the AF of my K10 + FA43ltd combo.
The actual f stop is 1.9 though

I find this one s little different from your normal shooting Peter. Not sure what I mean by that. It just looks a little distracting. My eye goes right to the back of thge image. Maybe its just me. JIM

I do see what are you saying Jim, The ccomposition doesn't work as well as it could have...

Hey Peter - I like this shot a great deal. I do find (and perhaps JIM sees things similarly) that in images - other than clear silhouettes - in which the main subject is darker than the background, my eye tends to head for the bright areas first. However, when I take the time to study an "unconventionally" constrasted image, I often find them more interesting than the usual approach - as is the case here.

Thanks Jer,
appreciate your point of view. I find the bright parts very attention seeking too. I did some trickery to the shot, where I brightened the face and arm, and darkened the background, but I can't do more than it is without making the shot looking unnatural. Oh well, one thing to remember next time: turn the kitchen lights off
