Cheers Gary.

I thought someone might question the B&W conversions due to the immense colour that usually accompanies these types of events.

Carl,

They've all come up well - good captures.

On the contrary, I think the colour versions weaken the images. The conversions allow us to see the people... and the pride.

Would you mind putting up a colour version of number 6 to demonstrate my point?
As usual, I reckon Gary is spot on here. Really nice images Carl

Interesting point. After reading this and going back over the photos I realized that, especially on the first color one, all my eye really paid attention to was the bright colored parts rather than the people or the scene as a whole. None the less, they're all great photos.

I understand your point Gary & couldn't possibly put a colour version of #6 up. That being said, I have tried to balance it out as much as I can with some colour & vibrancy.

Thanks all for the positive comments, they are much appreciated.

I have a few more images of strange(rs) here.

The sign in the background originally read, 'I don't need rescuing', before I accidently chopped it off. I'm quite happy with the way this turned out is probably my favourite image of the day.

Like Gary I find the black and whites to appear to be the best

Cheers Neil. They most certainly did march this year. Kilts, bagpipes, drums & all.
