Maybe My Best....?
Lens: 50mm (A50 Macro) Camera: K20D Photo Location: Texas ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/350s Aperture: F4.5

It is not the best composition or my favorite, but it may be the best Dolly shot I have taken for color and clarity. I'm still learning to shoot people, and after years of Squirrel shooting, it is hard to get the hang of it, but I will keep trying!
Regards

Man! For a squirrel shooter, your grand-daughter sure makes you look good!

A+++ for colour and clarity. Glad you are switching from shooting squirrels to "shooting" people.

These look beautiful to me, Rupert. I know from experience that getting shots of this clarity with just that "look" is pretty darn hard.

Ver cute and nice shot too. For me the catchlights in her eyes really set it off. well done.

Nice picture! Its actually realy hard to shot kids. This one should be framed!

Could need some PP before framing, some on her right cheek (red spot) and the dirt on the clothes.

Hi Rupert,
Long time no see from the other forum, glad to see you are here still.

An excellent image, portraits are a hard niche, trying not just to capture an image, but one that brings some of their characteristics and personality in to it can be very hard, but you have done that well.

Cheers
Neil

Rupert, that is a very good image and I do hope that it hangs or stands in a frame.

Nice to see you again here, mind you I have been absent for a while as well.

Nice to see some old friends here! This is a great site, Adam is to be highly commended for his excellent progress in making this the best Pentax site on the internet...by far!

I appreciate the kind words from everyone, and have to say this shot did justice in capturing my "Dolly", but it was part luck and part skill....maybe luck played the larger role here. Anyhow, it will be printed and framed. Some day she will appreciate having it.
Regards& Thanks again for the comments, they are definitely appreciated!

My second favorite Dolly shot...even though I cut off her head! LOL! It is always the eyes with my Dolly!
