Birds that is. There are a lot of birds trying to find food with the massive snows we had in the mid atlantic and I thought I would share a few pics.

dove

cardinal

tufted titmouse

mockingbird

house sparrow

song sparrow

carolina wren

Thanks for looking

Beautiful shots, Tom. Wish my wrens where that pretty. All we have are house wrens and they are dull brown.

What lens?

Thanks for the comments photolady.
I used a 400mm f5.6L canon lens for all but the last two, last two 300mm f2.8 L
oh- no 7 was an old tokina 300mm f4 at-x (I wish I could find one in pentax mount)

Really nice assortment of great bird photos! I especially like the Cardinal peeking out through the branches, and the light on the Mockingbird.

Nice work, Tom! I've got Cardinals lined up at the bird feeder like 747s at Newark Liberty Airport. Great for practice. For the past two days, I've been trying (without success) to get a good shot of the Towhee that tries to break in line.

Thank you all for looking, and the kind remarks I think 90% of my birds at my place are house sparrows, but I won't complain because they like to eat Japanese beetles in the summer.

Some very nice bird shots Tom and we don't mind the house sparrows at all, they do keep the insects under control. Thanks for posting this series,
