the light blue sky is how the sky was when the shot was taken. The darker one was done in Paint Shop Pro.I'm just wondering which one people think is more appealing?

I'm leaning towards the first one also.Maybe i'll change my avitar to the first one.I tried over the years to duplicate the shot but as you see everything has to be just right. When i see contrails i get my camera ready.Maybe some day i'll get lucky again and hopefully by that time i'll have the Sigma 50-500 that i plan on getting.

I find the darker one captivating but a little noise removal would make it even better.

I am impressed at your patience to get the real thing.

I actually don't mind the noise, but the last one posted is nice too.
To the OP - great shot, well done and lucky. Darker one is definately nicer.

Wow - what a cool image. I like all three versions, but slightly prefer the darker one. It would be interesting to see a version that lies somewhere between the two.

Anyway, terrific job on a superlative photo.

I think by my cropping of the original photo brought out the noise.Even at 300mm
the plane and moon show up very small on the lcd. I had to bring it up to get the detail that i wanted.--charliezap
