Leaf hoppers.

3 images shot with A200 macro with extension tubes, flash fired(two) and tripod used.

Tripod head

Very nice,

What tripod head do you use to chase these? I've tried but never been able to track the insects before they fly away.

Thank you.

I used a manfrotto tripod with a normal ballhead as support. Most other tripod should be fine, I suppose. The working distance is about 11 inches for 1:1 mag. That is good working distance from the A200 lens. The main difference in fact from other shorter focal length macro lens.

The longer the focal length, the greater working distance it provides.
