We've had gray, wet skies in Michigan for months, and today we had a blue sky and sun! I shot some photos from my porch today, and the sky was more interesting than the street. I used my new DA35/2.8 Macro and was amazed how cool these two photos of clouds seem (to me as a newbie). I just pointed the camera up in the air and pressed the shutter button.
There's actual detail in the clouds!
But ... how do you take good photos of clouds? There's nothing really to focus on (except infinity), so what could I have done better? (I realize these are not great shots by any means, but I was surprised to get
anything today that was kind of cool.

Now that I think about it, I should have taken shots that I could have stitched together as a panorama, but these will have to do.
C &C appreciated.
