Thanks for sharing,

Thanks Tim for looking, glad you liked it. Still having nice weather in the west and lots more to see, so it isn't too late to come out here for awhile. Bob

Nice shots, Bob. I was planning to head out the first week in Oct for a week or so. These shots have convinced me to go to Utah. Any recommendations for an rv park in the area (towing a small 5th wheel)? Thanks! Jim

Jim, I am not sure what kind of campground you are looking for, but this one has full hookups, basically a desert CG, but no TV cable. The people are very friendly and it is convenient to Canyonlands, while up there make sure and go to Dead Horse Point State Park and also close to Arches. Here is a link: Tent & RV Camp Sites | Archview Resort Moab Utah

We have also stayed at Portal RV Park, a little more pricey for the new section.

Portal RV Resort, Moab Utah | Reservations

Here is a guide we use to check parks that we are not familiar with, it is a good source with great reviews.
RV Park Reviews :: Moab, Utah ( UT ) - RV Parks and Campground Reviews

There are campgrounds at Arches and Dead Horse, but we normally find it easier for us to camp on the flat lands and travel to the sights from one central location.
We have stayed in your town a couple of towns, great rodeo and it is in Montana, doesn't get much better than that. If you have any other questions or need some help, just PM me and we can figure something out, even if it is wrong. take care and thanks for looking. Bob
Here is a PF link to Arches, a few photos that I took. Bob

Great images, Bob. I really like #2 as it really shows the scale of the landscape. TFS.

Dead Horse Point early 1980's

I loved seeing that first shot. I'm pretty sure that's a place called "Dead Horse Point." Fairly off the beaten path if I remember (although I haven't been there in about 30 years). This is a shot I took when I was there in the early 80's.

Yes, you got it, isn't it a beautiful area. They built a visitors center at this spot now that is very nice. Here is a link to the area. Thanks for looking and commenting and thanks for sharing your photo. Bob

Dave, it doesn't have the desert golf course like in Salome, but there is a lot more to see here. Bob
