thanks jim and jer.... i've been pretty lucky with the 55-300 so far.... at 55, not bad in a pinch, at 300... with minor adjustments, (- a little ev and shootin' around f8)... can get some sharp photos.... i've noticed i've had to use very little pp, and the little used is primarily for contrast... no sharpening or color alterations..... plus now, the prices are lower since they've been packaged in new k-x bundles, so folks are parting the bundle and selling the lens cheaper than can be had a regular retail prices...... now if my wife would let me buy a da* 300 of sig 100-300 f4... i can dream, can't i????
