This evening I've been reviewing files from days gone by and came across some shots of my car (bugs included) taken last September - the day I bought it and drove it home from Houston. For some reason, I rather like these pictures, both of which were taken with my DA 35 - a lens I seem to rarely use. Maybe it's time to put it to work again.

Pretty good Jer!

I particularly like the headlight (including the bug!!! ) - nice tonal gradation of the metalwork.

Thanks for that.

Cheers

Why don't you use your DA 35 much? After extensive research, this finally looks like the Pentax lens love of my life.

Would love to see some wide shots of your car TFS

Hey thanks, Chris. I'll have to do this one again, sans the bug!

Thanks, guys. I think my DA 35 is a knock out, so I'm not sure why I don't play with it more - perhaps because I also like to use my DA 40 which is pretty close in FL. Anyway, I've resolved to shoot more with the 35.

Dave - sounds like you've been livin' large somewhere - I'm looking forward to pics (if you haven't posted already and I haven't gotten to them yet).

Carl - I've attached a couple of shots of my car, both of which were - I think - posted earlier. Both were taken with a DA 15.

I light the detail in the headlight shot (including the bug, atleast the car is being used ;-) ) and the first full image of the car as well.
Ah, to have money but, then I'd buy every Limited lens in existence instead of the car

Love that DA15 - haha hardly living large well ok perhaps big at least - spent a couple weeks in Mexico and we made a overnight trip to Belize (San Pedro - what a laid back party Island that is !) was a blast just going through pics now.

Jer, all of them are very good images. I do like the first one very much but would clone out whatever it is in the lower left corner. (and the bug)

Thanks, much. The DA Limiteds are, indeed, a joy to use.

Thanks again, buddy. I saw (and commented) on your rich man's palace in Mexico!

Thanks, Heinrich. I'll either clone out the bug, or (since I'm lousy at cloning) reshoot the light when it's bugless; there are some other things I want to try, as well. The thing in the lower left hand corner is . . . . well . . . . a corner light - what we used to call Nader lights when they were first required in '68 or so.
