Spring floods

Flat looking country - not unlike around here. Is this sort of flooding typical of spring in your part of the world?

Nice images Rense and Jer asked the question for me already, I was also wondering whether this is normal spring flooding or is due to a higher than normal snow load.

Thank you both, Jer and Heinrich!This flooding is very normal in late winter/spring. The river Rhine is a 'glacial', or 'snow' river, with quite a length. Although we have an Atlantic climate with hardly frost and snow, the river Rhine's sources are in the Alps and Central Europe. When the snow starts melting in the beginning of spring, we receive the water.....
