First time posting, and first time using Lightroom2. Just did some basic adjusting as im new to the program. So I have posted 2 similar pics for your comments to help with my next try. Both images have been altered.
After tinkering for a while i dont know if im going too far with the enhancing, Maybe its my eyes, but another set will probably see it differently, so thanks for looking and please comment.

p.s. I think the bottom image looks less natural but more interesting? They were both taken without a tripod too.

Second image is the better one, IMHO of course.

I'll agree the 2nd is better and its not a bad shot without a tripod, but IMO using one would done more for them then post processing.

Another vote for number 2 - almost looks surreal - not a bad thing, at all. I can't believe how sharp this is taken handheld with a shutter speed of 1/2 sec., but it would be good to give a try with a tripod.

Nice stuff.

Not my cup of tea...

...but I like it anyway.

Sort of a "satanic mills" look that has it's own sort of grim charm.

Thanks for looking and commenting everyone. Im really surprised at how everyone liked the second one better. I was thinking it wouldnt be liked as much because it looks too enhanced? And im definitely going to take the tripod with me next time. I hope it gives a more crystal clear picture. Yes i agree that these 2 were as clear as they were for the shutter speed. I did take about 50 shots all together, and got about 5 real keepers, most were blurred. I learned what the limits were shooting handheld.

Heres another with a shutter speed of 1/10, f2.8, iso800. Much clearer i think. Also doctored with lightroom as it was darker originally.

Thanks again.
