Panos from Mexico
Camera: K20D Photo Location: Mexico

Aside from the oceans that boarder Mexico there are several fresh water lakes and Cenotes. Here a few hand held panos I took over the course of our travels.

Click on image for larger view

This is Bacalar Lake also know as the lake of 7 colors. It is a beuatiful place , fresh warm water the picture does not do it justice.

I am not sure what lake this is , it was close to Bacalar and may be part of it. It was just a stop on a road (Hightway 307) as we were making our way to Chetumal to catch the water taxi to Belize

This is the Cenote Azul . It is one of the biggest and deepest I think in all of Mexico. (600 feet wide and 300 feet deep)

Thanks Jer I never pictured you as the Jack Sparrow type However I would have to agree if I were a Pirate it would be in Caribbean waters for sure.

Great pics. I spent a couple of nights at Cenote Azul in 1992. They have a hotel and a restaurant but they let us hang a hammock in a palapa. There were lots of mosquitos- fortunately we had a mosquito net. Spent a lot of time in the hammock with my gf.

The swimming in the cenote was fantastic. The water is so clear.

Thanks - the water is still crystal clear did not notice any bugs however it was late afternoon I imagine they come out at sunset. We did not get a chance to swim but I'll bet it was great (we did swim in Lake Bacalar however).

Thanks Scott we always try and see some new areas when we go to Mexico and these were well worth the drive.
