TAKE A FUN POLL---BE HONEST
Lens: 55MM Camera: K10D Photo Location: NEW HAMPSHIRE ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/2s Aperture: F11

I was going to just post this picture and see what the response was but let's have some fun and do a poll.At first glance it seems like a decent woods and stream photo to the casual observer but there is something else going on here.
The reality is that this picture is posted upside down with the reflection taking up the upper 2/3 of the frame Everything was completely still that day as would be needed to do a 1/2 sec exposure. Now be honest and let me and others know if this got by you.I'll be away March 11-27 for a much needed vacation in the Clearwater Fl beach area and hopefully will bring back some nice pics of Beach Bums to Beach Babes and anything else in between.--charliezap

neat ... didn't guess reflection, initial thought was split filter or something like that, but reading your spoiler and looking closely, the ferns on the bottom of the frame do give it away. that's amazingly still water!

Without reading the spoiler.....I was trying to see if the ferns spelled something, or made a design where the water meets the land.

You fooled me! I didn't realize it was an upside down reflection until I read it.

Nicely done!

I think that the biggest clue is that the ferns are brighter in the lower section of the photo.---charliezap

It got by me. I knew something was up immediately - but not what. The reflection was not as subdued as it should be. Of course, after reading your post that's because it's not the reflection at all.

I'll be sure to pack my 70-300mm for the beach attractions. The next time after this trip i may have the "Bigma" lens if the new version for Pentax gets a good review---charliezap

I scrolled down through the pic to the text, so I only took a quick glance. Looked like it may have been a blind someone made under a fallen tree.

I had to look at it right side up and there is a small ripple on the left side of the above photo that isn't a mirror image.charliezap
