Attachment 56454I use +7 EV Comp since the initial pics come out dark but i somehow overexpose the background.

where the subjects in the shade? You could try a different weighting for your ev and you might like what you get better. But man, after 4 months in the snow... I want to be where ever you are... and nice colours, the blues, pinks and yellows...

Yeah the subjects are in shade.. I was just complaining how hot in here. Wish i could trade places with you but dnt know if i can handle the snow.

I thought they might be because I could see it in their glasses. Tough shot to get without blowing the background... but for me (shhh don't tell anyone around here) I don't mind a blown back ground if it gets the photo you want. To me in conveys a sense of warmth to the images.

And as to the snow, Saskatchewan has a large and growing Filipino population, my last boss and two co-workers had recently come over, and well half our plant. If they can handle it, I am sure you can too.

Try some fill flash to balance the exposure of the background with that of the subject.
