Totally breathtaking seaside river-mouth shot. Love how the sky and all of the water seem to be almost one entity because of the very similar colors.

The effect in the Ilford shot is very nice, most definitely film. Composition is just right.

Thanks for your compliments , Matthew .

The "little dot " on top of the rock on the left side is a helicopter ! I thought I just leave it there for curious wonder

That film shot is done with FA 50 1.4 . A great lens , IMHO

First picture is great. I find the bit of foliage in the corner distracting and would get rid of it; otherwise, quite beautiful.

Thanks PeterAM .

I post here the original photo so I can get some free C&C . We have many great experts in here .

You are right . I should crop ( or clone ? - I need to learn this - that little thing out .

It was very windy and cold . Lot of birds but I waited 30 minutes b/c I wanted to capture the sand/water alone .

Arnie = nickname for your state's govenor, Arnold Schwarznegger.

The first two shots are quite pleasing!

Haha I should have known that !

But we don't call him "Arnie " , at least in my neck of the wood . Or I should

Thanks Alvin , J. Scott

The river was named Russian because there was Russian doing trading earlier . This mouth is roughly 30 minutes from Bodega Bay - location of that classic Hitchcock movie .
