G'day mate.
The sunset does look like something beautiful to capture.
Keep at it - this scene had some potential.
Closer up to the person wading in the water in the path of the sunbeam would have been great.
It's also quite underexposed and lacking in interest from its central composition and vast empty spaces.

But it's a good start - look at results from the pros and observe what makes their images work, and you too can create works of art from the everyday scenes...

Thats a promising start, well done, as Ash said, the scene has a lot of potential.

I used to wool class around Robe & Kingston and holidayed at Robe a couple of times....one of my enduring memories is meeting the trawler at the jetty and getting our fresh crays (cooked on boat), a bottle or three of icy cold white and heading to 90 mile beach, parking and demolishing the lot!!!....god that was good!!

For those that dont know Robe: it is a small town & fishing port and has this magnificent beach that goes for ever that you could drive on. Great spot and the crays were to die for.
(SA Tourism....please make cheque out to.... )

Try a crop. You might end up with a low level of detail, but I would attempt a portrait orientated crop with the sun at the top and the person at the bottom. Just a thought.
