Good for a family album.
Fill-flash is well balanced - overall, though it is a little underexposed.
The chair behind her is also a little distracting.
She has a cute glance to the camera, though not the most engaging - that's just pot luck with kids.

thanks for the feedback ash.....i guess its a fine line between soft light and underexposure.

Adjusted the image in PS based on the Histogram.....not sure if i prefer it or not....what are your thoughts..........

Second one is definately better ... nice pic

I would maybe crop a bit off the right though.

thanks Mike......i like to try and keep the right ratio for the photos (1.5:1) so that they print properly - if i start getting rid of the right hand side i start to lose either her arms or the top of her head

I agree with Mike on both counts. The creases on the wall detracts attention from the main subject. In fact, I see this on a square crop, with the chair details blurred, and the shiny areas (spoon, tip of the nose, under the eyes, and center of the eyes) cloned stamp away.

As for printing purpose, just keep a second version.
