My Daughter at 4
Lens: 85mm Camera: K20D Photo Location: Home ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/60s Aperture: F2

It's hard to believe my daughter is turning for in just a few days; have 4 years really passed that quickly? When I look back on how much has happened to her since birth, it's positively frightening how quickly she's turned into a talking, thinking human being. And despite all the near scares we've had as parents (spate of febrile seizures (fever-related), hematoma from whacking her head after being knocked down horsing around with her brother, and any number of bumps, scrapes, and scabs that those little knees can pick up, she's still smiling like a champ. If that's only 4 years, I'm almost scared to think what the next 14 will bring!

An impromptu photo session for photos for the grandparents; really makes me wants to go out and get a proper backdrop and some lighting gear so that I can do this more often! Not technically perfect, but the shot she liked the best.

Daughters are beautiful. Never more so than before they hit 12 and discover the old man is not as smart as they thought. Its ok though 'cause if you raised them right they come back around in 10 years.

I'm smiling just looking at your posted pic remembering when.....

Thanks for stiring the memories.

Happy Birthday to her I'm sure you're looking forward to the next 14 (or maybe not the next 9-11th years, those were my most difficult )

Amen brother on the "they come back around in 10 years" Those years from 11 to 20 are hell on girls. With all that is going on in their lives during that time, it's amazing that they make it.

Thanks for the comments, everyone.

Here were a couple more, but a) I missed the background (shooting under the skylight in the front entrance of the house and clipped the front coat closet door) and b) thought the first shot had a nicer smile going

Practice makes perfect, I guess!
