Snowy Egret in HK (BIF) with DA200mm
Posted By: danielchtong, 03-22-2010, 06:48 AM

I am now in Hong Kong which is a concrete jungle. So I did not take long lens except the 200mm. All done with AFc

I need to do some pp work later though for the last one I know

Thanks. I had a lot of fun and I was fairly close. The subject (12 hours time of zone difference from Toronto) could not have been more cooperative.

Thanks for the positive comments above. I had a good time in HK and shooting birds was never planned in the first place. I am back to Toronto and the same killing work pace . Well we still have to earn a living

Wow, what a beautiful looking bird. You did well capturing it with your 200mm as I would have never been able to get that close.

I didn't even know that Hong Kong had birds like that (I'm totally serious, I've seen photos of the place, it looks like nature took a backseat for that city).

This is very nice though.

As I said it is a concrete jungle. They do have a wet land there though with a lot of birds. But as a tourist, I just do not have all the time. Somebody told me that the bird can never be seen in N E U.S./Can. (I am in Toronto). It is quite common south of N C though. Anyway I had good time there shopping and dining out
