Perth Storm Break
Lens: 50mm Camera: K20D Photo Location: Perth ISO: 100
Posted By: tootall, 03-22-2010, 10:05 PM

Yesterday Perth had its most severe storm since 1994 (or so the paper tells me), plenty of damage and flooding, but while I was out running around like a drown rat fixing drains I got these two pana's off. I just wish I was in a better spot then the backyard.

1.

2. (The dark area to the left lower is due to the lack of images and being in a rush)

Thought I'd share some images after the storm that isn't just tree's and power lines down every where. Hopefully when I get home tonight I might have power (not counting on it thou)

Wild looking skies. I have seen storms in Perth before (not in person) and they look pretty amazing. Nice catches!

Yesterday was awesome i love thunder storms, the orange sky afterwards was spectacular. It also made me want to go home to Darwin for a christmas and catch some real storms again, Perth would fall to bits if it got Darwin storms.

Great captures of the clouds mate.

Ominous skies there.
Hope things are settling now.

Nice shots.

It's funny how this storm happened not long after Melbourne had that really wild hail storm.. strange.

Yeah things are pretty back to normal, the last time I've been in a storm like that was back in Queensland years ago. Plenty of new cars that look like they have the golf ball look now Lets just call them speed holes.

Great shots - you can just "feel" how mean that storm was.

Great colours and feeling - you feel what my kids used to call "omnimouse" (sic) events brewing!

Hope this is not a portent of more crazy weather events across the country.....

Love the colour of #2 BTW

Cheers

Thanks for the comment guys, I don't normally go for the cloud shots, but you can see why this time.
