Beauty shot
Lens: 70 approx Camera: K7 Photo Location: home studio ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F8

This was a shot with a beauty light from above and a grid spot (from below) on a Metz 58 flash. Converted to b&w in PhotoTools 2.5 for CS4 with a bit of sharpening in PhotoTools, as well. Some skin smoothing, but not much.

I really like the rounded look. As if she has soft shadows all round to show off her beautiful features.

+1 Lovely shot; the lighting effect works well here (her right side jaw line). Also, I didn't think of using F8 on a portrait shot like this, but it seems to work well too - I will probably try that as well.

it's very good except for the overwhitened eyes.. but i guess that's just a personal preference.

Hi

Hi all:

Thanx so much for the comments. I did whiten the eyes a bit, but just to clone away some dark areas, but perhaps I may have brightened them. Thanx so much for pointing that out. I will take another look at her eyes.

Gregg, it's a fine portrait - lighting very soft and smooth, suiting the portrait and the model is beautifully posed.
Well done.
