Tonemapping experiments

All shot yesterday and processed directly from raw by Qtpfsgui. These aren't "true" HDR's as I just attempted to give these an eerie, weirdish feeling. I'd appreciate comments.

Pentax K110D with Sigma 24-135mm/F2.8-4.5 - Qtpfs on PCLinuxOS and some histogram manipulation with Digikam

Almost like chalk painting. Interesting texture

I like them very much. The first and last are especially interesting and eye catching.

Interesting effects! Quite painterly. There do seem to be halos around some foreground objects against the sky (some of the trees, the church steeple) but I imagine you can get rid of those easily enough. I like the dramatic skies.
