Yesterday I went to .........
Posted By: Heinrich Lohmann, 07-12-2007, 08:37 PM

one of my favourite places around here, Big Hill Springs Provincial Park. It's a day use area with many trails, all uphill. :-) On the way I stopped to look at some canola fields,

but finally did get to the park

Comments are always welcome.

Thank you. When I drove by that field I figured there might be a photo there so I stopped and took a couple of shots.

Heinrich,
Glad to see that you have finally thawed.
I like the saturated spring flower field and the time exposed water falls.
What is the exposure info?

I think it was well worth the uphill walk Heinrich. I never have any favorites when it comes to your photos I like them all. Well done from the fields to the park. All I can say is WOW. Not only do you take the best vacations, but you live in an area that I would love to see. Thanks for sharing.
Hi David and thank you for the nice comments.

I agree that we live in a very nice area but it does not matter much where you live. What matters is what one makes out of it, there is always something interesting to look at and take pictures of. We have lived in many different regions of Canada, from Montreal, PQ and Toronto ONT, to Whitehorse in the Yukon and now in Alberta and I can truly say that every place had it's own unique charm and that we liked all them, mind you some more than others. :-)

Take care, Heinrich

Nice shots Heinrich, I like the first one too but also the last one. The stream takes your eye right through the whole picture. Very nice!
Thank you Scott, your comments are appreciated.

Lovely pictures, lovely place. That first picture is great; hope you have made a big print of it. Funny, I thought canola came in a bottle; then again, what can you expect from someone raised in NYC
Thank you for the nice comments and yes this one I will print.

Great shots, Heinrich. I especially like the first one, wonderful composition, the yellow field, blue sky and the fence in the foreground. Well done and thank you for sharing.

Beautiful pictures Heinrich, especially the first two with the contrasting yellows, blues and whites of the clouds. I think the second one has its own special appeal; there's something about those clouds. I agree with scott about the last one. The running stream leads you right through the picture.

Paul
Hi Paul and thank you for the nice comments. There is something about running waters that's very attracting.

Take care, Heinrich

Thanks for the kind comments, the longest exposure I believe was 1/2 second.
