Do you use the auto focus, or manual focus when you're shooting birds? Is it different when they are in flight, as opposed to standing still?

apologize for the late reply. For this shot, I used auto focus and single focus. Maybe I should have used continual focus but it worked. More than anything, I think it's important to pan correctly. Kinda like golf ^_^ Follow through after the snaps.
