Great composition! Where was this shot taken? Did you use some sort of lighting?

Nice shot, the dark background brings makes the fern pop.

That is a very interesting shot, but to me the contrast is too high, maybe a polarizer would have helped to take some of the harsh light out. I do like it and I don't at the same time, maybe I just can't get over how harsh the light it, still wonderful composition.
