K-x White in Mexico: Travelling Light
Posted By: Dubesor, 03-30-2010, 03:44 AM

I went to live in Mexico City for a month. Left my K20D at home and instead brought my new K-x and a few lenses. I never really use flash so I taped it up with masking tape making the camera look even less 'serious'. This setup turned out to be wonderful, a joy to shoot with.

From the 1,000+ images produced, I've processed only a few so far. Here they are below. You can see my other K-x images on my website under Archives ...

1) Subway station, Mexico City. FULL SIZE
ISO 6400 | 1/60s | 50mm (shot with Super Takumar 50/1.4)

2) Street in the old centre (Centro Historico), Mexico City. FULL SIZE
ISO 100 | 1/160s | f5.0 | 18mm (shot with 18-55 DA L kit lens)

5) Pelicans wintering on cliffs, Pacific Ocean, Oaxaca State. FULL SIZE

You can search PentaxForums.com - Members List - Search for Mexico (dropdown list under "Country"). Seems like there are a bunch of forum members from Mexico on here. You can try contacting them.

Another idea would be asking on Flickr - I post my photos in these groups:
Flickr: Los 31 estados de México + el D.F.
Flickr: Tenochtitlán Siglo XXI (Ciudad de México)
Flickr: Metro México DF / Mexico City Subway
Flickr: CIUDAD DE MÉXICO (MEXICO CITY)
