Black & Whites from Andalusia

I am still digging myself out of the stack of photos I took in Spain. It's a fun process! This is a set of city and landscape shots that I converted to mono. As usual I am open to critique. First three are with the DA12-24; last two are the FA77.

I *cannot believe* that 450 people have looked at this *outstanding* collection in the past six months and not responded. I think washing day is my favourite, but I'd be proud of any of them. Your work here is just fascinating. I also like that the style varies from pic to pic.

The second and third are particularly effective in B&W. The stairs are moody in that dappled light - combination of antiquity and mystery. That image stopped my perusal of the others for a bit.

Thank you both. Sometimes I post these threads and then forget about them. I am quite happy with the look I was getting, though I do vary it to suit each image. Still experimenting.

Wow, I had missed those. Great series of shots you have there, Robin. My favorite is "tree-lined hill", I just love its simplicity and geometry.

We are so many already that these threads pass so quickly. Glad I saw these, love the film like appearance, the second shot is great, I like the play of shadows!
