Troupial (Icterus icterus) bird
Camera: K100D Super Photo Location: Puerto Rico ISO: 200 Aperture: F8

Hi,

We know this bird as Turpial in spanish. I believe it is the national bird of Venezuela but it is found in most of Central and South America. I also believe it is related to the Orioles. (The bird, not the Baltimore team )
While in my back yard following an American Kestrels this fellow stopped at the top of a palm tree.
All pics at Av set @ f8 ISO-200
Pictures are almost 100% crop using my DAL 55-300 in the K100DS

Going supersonic...

Thanks,

Beautiful. Nice composition on 1, 2. The leaves on 4 are a bit distracting for me since they are too close to the subject, but a nice capture nevertheless.

Thanks!
It was flying quite fast but continuous shooting is not exactly a strong point in my K100DS, especially in raw.

Thanks,

Sharp!! Very nice job Ismael - that bird is a stunner! Isn't that 55-300mm lens sweet? I wouldn't give mine up!!

A beautiful bird. Love the feather patterns of the outstretched wings.
