Trying out my new K-7
Camera: Pentax k-7 Photo Location: Central New York

I was out trying my new k-7 today. First sunny day in the 70's since about October.

Nice and sharp captures. Some noticeable purple fringing even at the reduced resolution, though. What lens were you using?

Thanks for your comments. I was using an old Tamron 70-300mm that day. I wish I could afford some new lenses, but will have to save up a while after buying the camera.

makes sense... that lens is known for its high PF

Well congrats on the new camera! I am soooo close to pulling the trigger on one

You got some great shots! Do you have a daughter on one of the teams? I was a head coach for a High School fastpitch team for 4 years. I just coach football now though.

Thanks for your comments, everyone. No. I don't have a daughter on the team. This is the college team from where I work. Luckily, I just live about 100 yards from campus so it's easy to walk over.

What a great opportunity to get some action shots! When I was in college, the softball fields were right outside my apt. one year and the balls bounced off our roof all the time! (-: Sounds like you're close enough, but not too close! LOL!
