Planes from around Sydney Airport
Posted By: pop4, 04-04-2010, 04:16 PM

Headed out to the airport yesterday morning on a whim and ended up with a photo or ten, and I got rained upon as well:

And if anyone's interested, there's a whole lot more airplane photos in this set on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/j_pang/sets/72157620431293990/

Wow, very impressive set! I really like the perspective from the 2nd and 4th shots.

How long did it take you to process all of those?

Unfortunately the Flickr link is broken, at least on my computer. Could you post the URL please?

Thanks. The shots only took a few minutes in Lightroom, and I didn't do all that much to them. It was really more about being at the right time and the right place. The sun was just rising and that gave me the nice sunrise lighting, but there were the rain clouds coming in as well. Good thing my bodies are weather sealed because I got rained up soon after taking these shots.

The posting of URLs seem to be acting funny on the forum, but I've fixed it now. You'll have to do a manual copy and paste though.

Oh, and my friend took this photo of me holding my K-7 after we ran for cover from the rain:

The camera still works perfectly

Ooo, if you go to the end of that rainbow, you'll find Christina Keneally standing next to a pointedly empty pot!

Yeah, ever since Bob Carr left, our state's gone totally downhill

Lenses and cameras are all working fine (Had a K10D with me as well).
I did keep the lenses pointed downwards so that it was the camera bodies taking most of the rain (well, it was more like passing showers, nothing heavy).

The state of Sydney, or the state of NSW...?
