It's a nice shot Rense but I'm really not fan of those hexagons in the background...
That's one think that really bugs me about my K55/1.8

Sure, not the smoothest of bokeh, but decently sharp.
A hard exposure Rense, and the B&W did this image justice.

Thanks Peter! I don't think it bothers me that much

Doesn't bother me so much either Rense. Makes a really nice B&W. Good job.

Very nice photo Rense. While I also agree on the background it is still a great picture none the less.

Black & White Salix

That is a nice B&W picture, Rense.
No doubt, the bokeh is not as smooth (could be an inherent limitation of the lens, though); never-the-less, I still like it.
The hexagon thingy in the background - some may hate it, but some not be bothered by it. For me, I would prefer a clean b/g, but still a nice picture.

A pleasing shot Rense, and a good B&W conversion too. Although the hexagonal bokeh may not please some, they're sufficiently soft not to distract from the image. Cropping to a square format helps it too.

Thanks for sharing

Cheers

I actually like the hexagons. Nice image, sharp where it needs to be and smooth where it needs to be.

This one is very nice! I love hexagonal bokeh too. In fact this entire photo just looks very dreamy and creamy (uh, maybe those don't sound too good together, but I hope you know what I mean) and beautiful. Nice photo!
