This is the castle of Åbo/Turkku in Finland. Founded in the 12th or 13th century as a stronghold for the Swedish rule over Finland, supposed to have been at that time the only stone building in Finland. Most famoused inhabitant is probably Prins John (well not that prins John), duke of Finland, whom eventually replaced his big brother and became king Johan III of Sweden. He ran a somewhat chilly Renaisance court up here.
