Holy week in Christianity is the last week of Lent and the week before Easter. It includes the religious holidays of Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday and Good Friday, and lasts from Palm Sunday (or in the Eastern, Lazarus Saturday).
We celebrate that and for most theres no work so most people would head on for a vacation.

Oh yes, same here. In fact Ireland is Catholic (as most realise) and schools etc. get two weeks off at Easter. Back in Canada we got two days off.

I was just remarking on the distinct absence of holy subject matter.
