MN Zoo

I saw some bears fighting eachother today but it was so packed that I wasn't able to get any shots out at all! The zoo was so packed and busy today, all four parking lot areas were just filled up. I had a lot of trouble trying to get around people to get good shots. I eventually came back to the bears an hour later and it wasn't as packed but the bears stopped fighting.

Then a Snow Monkey.

Tons and tons of Canikon today, saw zero Sony, zero Pentax, and zero Olympus at the Zoo. Everybody was packing a Canikon with either 18-55 kit lens or some 55-300 equivalent kit telephoto zooms, except I only saw one Canon dude carrying what looked like a 24-70 L. About 10 people with DSLR total that I saw.

The first one is really good, I thought that was a dog at first though until I read your description!

I love the angle on the chimp too.

If you think that's bad, try going to the Golden Gate Bridge and looking at all the cameras.

You shouldn't feel bad that you missed the bears fighting...your bear shot is unique I like the different perspective on the monkey too.

Wow, I really like the first shot. It really looks like you were staring the bear in the face!

Thanks for the comments all, the contrast on the bear shot was really washed out because I was shooting through thick glass along-side with my cheap Kenko MC UV filter attached so I had to really add some through PP'ing.

Love the bear shot - the perspective is way cool!

Funny on the snow monkey - I think I'd prefer either less DOF to accentuate the eyes, or more DOF to see more of the body. It's a good shot, though.
